What Are Hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the anus and lower rectum.
They can be:
Internal hemorrhoids: Inside the rectum (usually painless but may cause bleeding)
External hemorrhoids: Under the skin around the anus (may cause pain, swelling, or clots)
Causes of Hemorrhoids

Prolonged sitting
Pregnancy
Obesity
Heavy lifting
Weakness in the vein walls
